Nominator's project description
| Professor Schobeiri has carried out excellent research work on unsteady aerodynamic problems and performance simulation of gas turbines. His work has provided new approaches for the modelling and calculation of boundary layer behaviour under the special conditions in turbo-machinery and its effects on aerodynamic losses and cooling of gas turbine blades. His research stay at Darmstadt University of Technology serves to collaboratively implement and prove a new model for wake induced boundary layer transition in turbo-machines. |
